Shaun Gamble is the Founder/Owner of Veterans Home Inspection. His experience started in his early teenage years working for a family friend’s construction business and continued through the years of owning homes and making his own repairs. Shaun’s attention to detail and desire to serve others motivated him to help homeowners identify discrepancies that could lead to costly repairs. He’s completed 1,000+ inspections and earned certifications from Central Piedmont Community College and the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors.
Outside of home inspections, Shaun studied Mechanical Engineering at the UNC Charlotte and currently serves as a Flight Engineer in the NC Air National Guard. He has spent over 17 years serving his country in the Air Force accumulating over 1,000 hours of flight time. Shaun has deployed to the Middle East for three tours including Ali Al Salem, Karshi Khanbad, and Al Udeid. As an interesting sidenote, his crew has transported notable “VIP’s” including Gen Franks into Bagdad from Ali Al Salem in 2003; and, for USO Tours–Robert De Niro, John and Rebecca Stamos, Gary Sinise, and Alyssa Milano.
“I love to be challenged and find the defects that others might miss. I wasn’t made to be behind a desk fulltime,” Shaun said. His reputation for attention to detail and customer relations resulted company expansion. He is currently training his long-time USAF colleague (a retired CMSgt) that will “bring the same level of energy and expertise to the company.”
His advice for buyers? “Take the emotion out of home buying. Look past the “lipstick” and see the bones of the house. I always say that I’d rather buy an outdated home that has been taken care of rather than a home that the new and modern but the “bones” weren’t maintained.”
